[11:00 AM]
(Jake) *quietly* We’ve been searching for an hour now, and we still haven’t seen anything yet.
(DJ) Well, there’s only about seventy-five square miles of area we have to search. So we could go quite a while without finding anything.
(Jake) Yeah, but we haven’t even seen tracks. Just a few forest critters…
(DJ) I know. There must be something that we’re missing. Maybe we should try looking near the center of our search area, because that would probably be where the radar-jamming device is. And I’m guessing that their bunker would be nearby as well.
(Jake) Seems logical enough. *looks at GPS unit* The center of our search area is about a mile and a half south-east of here, so we could be there in maybe twenty-five minutes.
(DJ) Alright. Just keep your eyes out for anything unusual…
(Jake) Yup. I just hope we don’t run into anybody as annoying as Weston was. Is he for real? Talking with him for fifteen minutes was worse than having teeth pulled! I feel bad for his mother…he’s got a face only she could love.
(DJ) ……..
(Jake) Heh…sorry. But he really was-
(DJ) Stop.
(Jake) What? I know you get tired of the joking, but it wasn’t that bad, was it?
(DJ) No, look over there… *points to the ground about ten feet away* …tracks.
(Jake) Oh. *walks over to tracks* Coming from the north, and headed east. We must be going the right way. Well that’s good, anyway. Shall we? *starts following the tracks*
(DJ) I suppose so. *follows Jake*
[11:20 AM]
(Jake) *still following the tracks* Well, we’ve got to be getting close. More tracks now, and I think there’s a small clearing ahead.
(DJ) *looks* You’re right. *walks over to edge of clearing* Look, I can see the bunker now. It’s hidden pretty well by the brush and all, but it’s there.
(Jake) Cool. Since you saw it first, I’ll let you activate the homing beacon for Weston. Isn’t that nice of me?
(DJ) Touching. *turns on homing beacon* Now, hopefully that troop of soldiers will be here soon. We just have to wait here in the meantime.
(Jake) Great…I hope we don’t have to wait too long. *sighs*
(DJ) *stops to listen to something* I hear something cracking…
(Unknown) Freeze! *points stun gun at DJ*
(DJ) *turns to see a guard pointing a gun at him* Great.
*three more guards come into view, also holding guns*
(Jake) Hey, can you hold something for me?
(Guard #2) What?
(Jake) This! *throws daggers at guard, seriously injuring him*
(DJ) Yaah! *grabs his lance and attacks guard with it*
*Two guards fall to the ground, but the other two stun DJ and Jake, rendering them unconscious*
(Guard #1) *calls on radio* Got them, sir.
(Yashev) *speaks with a heavy Arabic accent* Good. Bring them to me so we can see if they will be suitable subjects for our new toy. And don’t hurt them, or it will be you we put into the machine.
(Guard #1) Roger that. *ends radio call* Don’t hurt the kids. Ha!
*the two remaining guards put handcuffs on DJ and Jake and then carry them to the bunker*
[12:14 PM]
(DJ) *slowly regains consciousness*
(Guard 1) Sir, he’s come to.
(Yashev) Excellent. I was hoping we would have a chance to chat before the results of the tests come back. *walks over to DJ, who is chained to a wall* Greetings, friend. I’m so glad you could join us today.
(DJ) What’s this, a party or something? Sorry, I don’t have an invitation.
(Yashev) Foolish child. Today, you have the privilege of becoming part of science! If your genes match the requirements, you will be our first human test subject for the Duplicator machine.
(DJ) Ooh, sounds like fun. What happens if my genes don’t match?
(Yashev) If that is the case, you will be killed and disposed of. That is what will become of your friend Jake. His genes tested negative. You had better hope you test positive, or you’ll be next.
(DJ) Jake…killed? How could you, you freak!
(Yashev) We can’t just let you go now, can we? The two of you have seen too much already, I’m afraid.
(Scientist) *walks up to Yashev* Sir, test results are in.
(Yashev) And?
(Scientist) Positive. It looks like this one’s good to go.
(Yashev) Outstanding. You’re dismissed.
(Scientist) Yes sir! *walks away*
(DJ) So, what does this Duplicator thing do, anyway?
(Yashev) It separates the opposite parts of someone’s personality and creates two whole individuals out of them. At least that’s what it’s supposed to do. It hasn’t been tested on humans yet, actually. And now you get to be the first one. Isn’t this exciting?
(DJ) I’m shaking with excitement. Whoop-de-doo. *rolls eyes*
(Yashev) Well, I’m excited, anyway. I really don’t care what you think, because you don’t have a choice. Don’t worry, it shouldn’t hurt too much. Hahahahaha!
(DJ) Great. Another maniacal laugher…you people never cease to annoy me. Well then, are we going to sit around and have tea, or are you going to get this over with?
(Yashev) *slaps DJ in the face* Shut your mouth, fool, before I bash it in. I think it’s about time you learn your place. Now, I have to go check and make sure the machines are ready. You be a good boy here until I get back, alright?
(DJ) Yeah, sure. Don’t let the cell door hit ya on the way out.
(Yashev) *leaves room* Insolent brat…we’ll see how bad he is after the experiments are over.
(DJ) *thinks to self* It doesn’t sound like they’ve killed Jake yet…that’s good, anyway. There must be something I can do to rescue him and get us out of here alive. I wonder what that machine’s going to be like…will I even survive the experiments?..... I don’t know.

Hey everyone! I really appreciate you taking the time to follow my story. I've been having a lot of fun writing this. I wish I could have more time to write, but life has been pretty crazy the last little bit. But enough of my excuses. I'll try to make the wait in between posts shorter, if possible. Again, thanks for reading!
